It looks like MARS! Literally was all we could keep saying… 

Kurt and Becca

This is our world… our happy place, with strangers chatting about love and laughing until our bellies ache. We stand in awe time and time again because it feels like the universe continues to bring amazing people into our lives at just the right time. 

These two love birds are OG status right here.. like high school sweethearts type peeps. Yep! 10 years, through high school, college, and everything in between … they have done life together and now want to make it official!

“He finally put a ring on it!” – seriously singing the tunes of Beyonce in my head right now! But it was perfect and magical and Becca seriously didn’t see it coming.

Natives of the East coast, and representing the state Joe was raised in OF COURSE the universe wanted our paths to cross. Kurt surprised Becca with the question she hoped one day would happen, during a trip with friends, during their 10 year anniversary celebration. She said YES, then they moved clear across the U.S. to our amazing state of Arizona and met us online! WOW universe we hear ya… so of course we took them to “Mars” to show them how incredible our state is, and all that it offers in terms of beauty and uniqueness.

We are asked often …. do you just travel for pictures? In a perfect world, yes, but not as much as we would like. So when we do have the opportunity we hunt down the most insane, magical locations we can find because we truly believe in the power of being present with one another in a location that is just as awe inspiring as the couples love. That’s why we stand behind our opinion that the engagement session is so important during the wedding planning season. It gives you the opportunity to do something out of the norm, enjoy time that is completely focused on on each other, and capture some pretty epic photos you will look back on for years to come.

So when these two wanted to explore their new state.. we said YES.

Whats cool is we got to explore 2 different locations. Location 1 is what we called “Mars” and is located in Glen Canyon National Park and the second location is Horseshoe Bend. Both locations are within a short drive of Lake Powell which is a beautiful location in and of itself. 

So without further ado, we present to you Becca + Kurt and their incredibly playful & stunning Lake Powell engagement session.
