“Blended Families, woven together by choice, strengthened together by love, tested by everything, and each uniquely yours.”

    Okay so let’s have some real TALK, like the kind that most photographers won’t share. When you first meet a couple, it’s like dating. You get goosebumps, you try and say all the right things, and you hope for a second “date.” Then there are these special moments when you meet a couple, and you think “I HAVE TO SHOOT THEIR WEDDING!” the bride is stunning, the groom looks like he was made for her, and the story is just that good! That was Andrew and Ashlee. WOW, were Joe and I so excited when they said YES… to us!   

    It was over coffee that we learned about their proposal story, how Andrew pulled out all the surprises in Hawaii, and how through heartbreak, they both found LOVE again and chose each other. They not only chose each other, but they chose to parent together each of their families without even a blink of an eye, or a second thought. Selfless, and intentional love, these two are amazing! 

    The wedding day: if I could sum up their day in one word I would scream RELAXED to the roof top! EVERYTHING went on without a hitch. Everyone had a place, and every place had someone in charge. The kids ran around excited, never running out of energy, smiling ear to ear.  It was contagious. 

    Ashley stood at the top of the stairs with her father, arms linked together, they made their decent toward their guests, and toward her future. With the joining of family, friends, and their kids .. Andrew and Ashlee recited vows to each other, that still have me beaming ear to ear, and with heart skipping admiration. 

    As their day continued, the party started, and their friends and family set the STANDARD for reception celebration. This reception was a party like no other! We are talking dancing, singing, and down right a good time. You could see it, from the toasts, to the dance floor moves, they were welcomed into matrimony with open arms and one heck of a good night. 

    Needless to say by the end of the night our memory cards were almost full and editing was filled with laughter and tears
