Chapel Of The Holy Cross Sedona Wedding
The Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona is one of the most iconic and beautiful ceremony locations in all of Arizona! It wasn’t until recently they began to host Ceremony’s at the Chapel so when we discovered this is where the ceremony would be we were beyond excited.
Now, if you do plan on having your wedding ceremony at the chapel it is important to note that it is not available until AFTER is closes to the general public (5:00pm). Sedona, Arizona is one of those area’s where you can actually get married during the summer without dying of heat but if your wedding date is later in the fall or early spring keep note of sunset time if you are wanting those Golden Hour photos everyone gushes over.
Some other planning tips to note is the walk up which is steep. There is a golf kart that brings guests from the parking lot to the path that spirals up to the chapel. If you have guests that have a hard time walking or may take a little bit to get to the top plan accordingly so everything stays on time.
Once everyone is up there, all that is left is to enjoy the INCREDIBLE views as the sun sets on the beautiful Red Rock of Sedona. This is when The Chapel Of The Holy Cross really comes to life as the candles light the interior and the window captures the downing sun. A perfect moment to say “I Do”!
HOW DID YOU TWO FIRST MEET?
We were both working at Walt Disney World. It was a rainy day and we both had to take cover under a shop that is known as the Cinema. Anthony saw that Tammy knew sign language from her name tag and they started talking. It was time for Tammy to leave so she gave her number to Anthony. They cooked other a few dinners and went on their first date to see Inside Out at the theaters. The rest is history.
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PROPOSAL
We were at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for Tammy’s family vacation and after some family photos everyone suggest that we take a few just of us two. Just as she started to walk away Anthony pulled out the ring and got down on one knee.
WHAT WAS THE VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING COLORS?
Fall! Maroon, mustard, charcoal
WHAT UNIQUE ELEMENTS DID YOU INCLUDE?
Disney of course! We has Disney aspects; cake topper, seating assignments, shoes.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT?
Seeing both of our families and friends come together to celebrate our marriage.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FLOWERS, GOWN, FAVORS, CAKE, ANY OTHER DETAILS …
Due to both of us having originated from hot regions we knew we wanted a cooler wedding. We also wanted the fall type colors so that helped us decide on a Fall wedding! Tammy had heard about the chapel before but didn’t know that it was of Catholic origin. We found out the requirements and started planning straight away. We were the last couple to book for the fall that year. Seeing as how our story started in Disney World it was only right that we incorporated some of that into our day too. We had Wall-E and Eve as our cake toppers. We used fast passes and ride posters as our table/seating assignments. We also used various couples in our favors. We had Mickey & Minnie on our kisses, Flik & Ada on our chocolate bars and Wood and Bo Peep on our custom painted shoes.
