“Our love is like a vintage table – I’m eclectic” -Colton  

Colton: light hearted and eclectic, Liz: optimistic and caring, have a story that is one for the books.  Persistence is the foundation of their love story. Fast is his last name and slow was this love game! After sleeping on her couch for three days… and secretly madly in love with this girl… he made his move… asked her on a date, and boom she said NO! Both brand new entrepreneurs, both running start up businesses they had so much in common. He saw what time could do for them… for their future (one he already thought of), for her she saw spare time as something that was non existent .. and couldn’t commit to anything extra… including a man who was dying to take her out on a date.   

Well Colton didn’t take NO for an answer, and stayed persistent.  Finally she took a chance said YES after Colton asked her out for the 10th time and it was the best decision of her life.  Now they are both saying YES to forever.. and these photos are just the beginning.    

What’s your favorite thing about your fiancé?    

COLTON- “Her cackle laugh. There’s a really pronounced HA at the beginning of the good ones!”    

LIZ- “His persistence, eagerness to learn and desire to succeed.”  

What’s the strangest thing you have  eaten?    

COLTON- “Vegan applesauce cookies – what can I say .. I’m supportive of her food choices”    

LIZ-“Cricket Cookies, it was an accident”   

What are your top three favorite things?   

COLTON-“Traveling, GOLF (currently building a team of guys who have no clue how to play…), and our dogs!”  

LIZ-“COFFEE (it’s life since I  co-own Ebb + Flow Coffee Co with my bestie), FOOD (it’s life and since I’m vegan puts a whole spin on date nights for us!), and our DOGS, they are my fur babies.  

How do you take your coffee?  

COLTON-“On the rocks! LOL”  

LIZ-“Iced americano with FOUR shots … add the oat milk!”   

Why did your choose Horseshoe Bend for you epic engagement session?  

“Our love story has been such an adventure so far… we knew we wanted an iconic location like Horseshoe Bend to help capture our love story into visual words through an image. Both rarely getting any time off, it was a great way for us to GET AWAY and focus on the session, even for a day, and just celebrate this moment! Our wedding is just 7 short months away, and we can’t wait to say YES to forever together.”  

 Planning Tips For A Horseshoe Bend Engagement Session

   

Evening Or Morning? We recommend evening session. The sun sets behind horseshoe bend and offers incredible golden hour photos while allowing enough light to cascade into the canyon.   

Price? Horseshoe Bend is no longer free. There is a park entrance fee that is $10/vehicle for the day.   

Hiking? The hike is a total of 1.5 Miles round trip. There is a slight incline in the beginning than it is all down hill until you reach the rim of horseshoe bend. Recommend water & a calf massage when you are all done =)
